London will soon be setting up boxing academies, street athletics programmes and mobile swimming pools in an attempt to combat rising obesity levels.
A new £30 million campaign has been launched by the London mayor to help London become the first Olympic host to produce a lasting grass roots legacy and increase sport and activity participation.
Plans include 6 boxing academies, a street athletics programme for 10 to 19 year olds and 2 mobile pools which will be assembled at schools or community halls to encourage an additional 10,000 children a year to swim.
