
Schools on the Move provides a range of challenges and activity ideas, designed to motivate pupils to get active and have fun. There are two core challenges which every pupil will participate in. These are;
Super Strider Challenge
An individual participation challenge, based on increasing your average number of daily steps. There are three different awards to work towards, which are;
Bronze = 10,000 steps
Silver = 12,000 steps
Gold = 15,000 steps
Globetrotter Challenge
A form or group challenge, based on completing a virtual walk around the world! There are 36 destinations, covering all five continents around the world so every step counts!
For those who fancy trying something different, there are also a range of animated challenges which translate the number of steps pupils enter into real time activities to see how their activity levels compare. These include;
3 Peaks Challenge
A virtual climb of 3 of the highest mountain peaks in the UK because walking isn’t just a horizontal movement, it’s a vertical one too!
Football Challenge
Comparing pupil’s steps to those of a premiership footballer’s to see if they can last a 90 minute game and hold out until the final whistle.
Half Marathon Challenge
Using pupil’s steps to complete the BUPA Great North Run.
Coast to Coast Challenge
A chance to be the next Steve Redgrave and complete our cross channel rowing challenge without ever getting your feel wet!
